EZ Lip color options: Black, red, white
Black works well with all car colors. It contrasts very well and stands out on any car color. However, you may want something a little more colorful for your ride. If you already have colored accents such as brake calipers, wheel trim or other components, our red or white colors are an excellent option. At this time, the red and white colors are only available in our regular 1” design. This is an easy way to get the color you want without having to use spray paint.
Also worth keeping in mind that our products are only available in a matte sheen. In other words, they don’t have a glossy shine. If you’re looking for a glossy finish you can simply apply some tire shine to the rubber with a cloth. Alternatively, you can use a glossy spray paint. More on using spray paints in the next section!
Can you spray paint your EZ Lip?
The simple answer is, yes. You can spray paint any of our products. However, the biggest issue with spray painting our products is that they are made from a flexible foam rubber. Typical spray paint doesn’t adhere well to malleable material. It will flex, flake and crack over time. You can re-apply the spray paint but it would be a constant process.
Using Plasti-Dip® to paint your EZ Lip
A better option is using a flexible paint such as Plasti-Dip®. These paints typically adhere better and last longer on a flexible material like our EZ Lip.
Can you wrap your EZ Lip?
If you don’t want to deal with spray paint another great option is to use wraps. Wraps have become common place this day and age. Drivers can wrap anything, such as splitters, fender flares, skirts, trim, side view mirrors, aprons, spoilers, etc.
There are numerous wrap options to choose from. You can choose from a variety of brands and quality offering many different materials, thicknesses, and colors or even textures such as carbon fiber!
How to wrap your EZ Lip
We had the honor to partake in a collaboration with @jason_nguyen- an avid car enthusiast with a collection of tastefully modded cars. Jason installed an EZ Lip Front Splitter PRO on his 1991 Lexus ES250. He chose our larger 2” PRO model so that it can line up with his side skirts better. Jason wanted to match the EZ Lip’s finish to the same level of gloss on his car. He decided to use a wrap to achieve his goal. Watch Jason wrap his ES250 in the video below and the outstanding results he was able to achieve.
